Our Trip to Sarangani!

One day, I asked Anara, "Anara, why do we live in the Philippines? There are barely any other dolls to play with here. Why couldn't we stay in LA? That is where you took me from, isn't it? AND why do I have to go with you to the Sarangani? What is Sarangani?"

Sarangani is a province in Mindanao, Philippines. Anara has been taking me, and Zoey with her. The Philippines is not a rich country in terms of money, but it is rich in culture and it's environment is amazing. At least, that was what Anara told me. She told me that the Philippines is a beautiful place.

I honestly, did not believe any of it! Ever since I've come the Philippines, I've noticed that there was an abundance of dust and bugs. Can you believe it, bugs? Anara kept reminding me that the Philippines is a beautiful place. She also had said that, though there is quite an amount of pollution in the air, the Philippines is one of the major producers of the clean energy (ex: Hydromthermal and Hydropower).

She told me that, if I went with her, that I would understand and appreciate the Philippines and especially Sarangani. Though I was stubborn, Anara was totally right. Unlike I, Zoey was eager to come. She had been with Anara the longest (almost 7 years!).

Sarangani was a wonderful place, as there were many different places to go and see. We went to a river (to go tubing), a beach, a tribal village, to see an exhibit of anthropomorphic jars dating back to 5-200bc. !

I would not like to overwhelm you. Each of these events include pictures and a heading to make it easier to sort though :). They are all in chronological order, if you were interested.

The Kling Reservation

Anara told me that she had been here before. It is like a wonderland, I tell you! All of the furniture is old, but not in a bad way. They are all antiquities. I had told Anara that a Kit or Ruthie would fit in the house very well, as it is a 1930's style house.

River Tubing

Well, in truth, Anara and her family went river tubing. Zoey and I took turns taking pictures of each other while she was. A kind gentleman offered to take pictures of us during the group shots.
